Where are you located?

What are your hours of operation?
- Non-Harvest Hours: Monday–Friday, 8am–5:30pm
- Harvest Hours: Monday–Friday, 8am–6pm; Saturday & Sunday, 9am–3pm
Do you run a courier service?
We run a courier service during the harvest season. See our Harvest Courier Service page for the most up-to-date information
Where is the after-hours drop box located?
Our drop box is located on the right side of the building when you are facing the front entrance.
What is the after-hours drop box code?
The code is 2142* (finishing with the asterisk will unlock the door)
Do you provide sampling supplies?
Yes! We provide sample labels and bags of 50mL sample tubes to our clients free of charge. Just call, email, or visit us to request more supplies.
What tests do you run?
We run mainly grape juice and wine analysis, including full panel analysis, heat and cold stability tests, Dissolved Oxygen, CO2, and Phenolic Analysis. See our full list of analyses.
How much sample volume is required?
General sample volume guidelines are:
- QC Wine Panels, QC Juice Panels, and Heat Stability Checks – 50mL
- Dissolved Oxygen and Cold Stability Tests – minimum 250mL
- Post-Bottling Panels, Bentonite Trials, and Cold Stability Product Trials – 750mL

What is the best way to ship my juice samples?
We recommend following our shipping instructions to help ensure your samples arrive safe and sound.

How will I receive reports and invoices?
Reports and Invoices will be sent by email. Multiple recipients can be set up for your account. Your reports will be sent in both PDF and CSV format. Your invoices will be sent in PDF format. If you can’t find a report or invoice, please check your spam folder or reach out to us via email, we are always happy to help!
How can I pay my invoices?
We accept card or check. To set up credit card payment call 503-883-0350 to provide card information. Checks can be mailed to PO Box 27, McMinnville, OR 97128
Why do panels cost only slightly more than running a single test?
We’ve invested in sophisticated, industry-standard analyzers capable of generating results for numerous parameters in a single pass. Unlike other labs, we choose to treat that as a single analysis from a billing standpoint.
Do you analyze other ethanol-based beverages?
Yes. We can do limited analysis on Cider, Spirits, Beer, and Mead. Call us for more information on the analyses available for those products.
Do you do microbial analysis (plating, PCR, Scorpions, etc)?
No, we’re not currently set up to perform microbial analysis.
Do you test for heavy metals?
No, we’re not currently set up to test for heavy metals.
Do you conduct smoke taint analysis?
No, we’re not currently set up to perform smoke taint analysis.
Do you do water testing?
No, we’re not currently set up to perform water analysis.
Why can’t I create a Core Enology Portal account using my email?
To create a portal account, your email needs to be listed in our system. You can call or email to request your email be added – after verification and approval from the winery owner/general manager, you should be able to create an account.

Do you sell lab supplies and equipment?
No, but Davison Winery Supplies has an extensive inventory of products for wineries large and small.
