Frequently Asked Questions

Juice Panels, QC Panels, Residual Sugar (Glucose+Fructose), Malic Acid, Ethanol – key tests for maintaining a proactive, quality assurance-based winemaking production environment. In addition we also offer Heat Stability and Cold Stability analysis to confirm stability pre-bottling, as well as Dissolved Oxygen and CO2 analysis. (As our analytical capabilities grow, see the Services page for current list of analyses.)

We are located inside the Davison Winery Supplies building, 1819 Northeast Baker Street, McMinnville, OR 97128.

Normal hours are Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:30pm.  During the harvest season we’re open 8am to 6pm Monday through Friday, and Saturday and Sunday 9am to 3pm

For Wine and Juice Panels as well as Heat Stability samples please submit one 50mL tube per sample. For Cold Stability Check samples a minimum of 250mL is required.

In the wine lab of yesteryear every parameter had to be run as a separate analysis. Today’s sophisticated modern wine analyzers generate a powerful amount of data in a single pass. We choose to treat that data as a single analysis from a billing standpoint.  This hopefully incentivizes you to run more analysis, keep a closer eye on your product, and ensure it stays on track from start to finish.

Yes, we’re happy to send you a supply of 50mL tubes and sample labels free of charge.
